The holiday season is one of the most magical times to visit Walt Disney World. Between sparkling decorations, festive treats, and special events across the parks and resorts, there is something truly heartwarming about celebrating here as a family.

One of the most beloved traditions is the Candlelight Processional at EPCOT, part of the park’s Festival of the Holidays. This beautiful performance combines celebrity narrators, a full orchestra, and a mass choir to tell the story of Christmas in a way that feels both powerful and intimate.
If your family is traveling to Disney World this holiday season, here’s what you need to know to enjoy this unforgettable experience.

Why It’s So Popular
The Candlelight Processional lasts about 40 minutes and is free to attend with your park admission. But because the show is so well loved, and the theater has limited seating, getting in isn’t always simple.
A large portion of the seats are reserved for guests who book a Candlelight Processional Dining Package. While standby seating is available, families who want to guarantee their spot usually prefer to book the package rather than risk long lines or disappointment.

2025 Dining Packages
Dining packages for this year open on October 14, 2025, and they go quickly. With the package, you’ll enjoy a meal at one of EPCOT’s participating restaurants plus guaranteed seating for a specific performance.
Here are some highlights from the 2025 lineup:
  • Biergarten Restaurant (Germany Pavilion) – $70 adult / $38 child
  • Garden Grill Restaurant (The Land Pavilion) – $71 breakfast, $84 lunch or dinner
  • Le Cellier Steakhouse (Canada Pavilion) – $104 adult / $42 child
  • Teppan Edo (Japan Pavilion) – $110 adult / $60 child
  • Via Napoli Ristorante (Italy Pavilion) – $65 adult / $28 child
There are 15 total restaurants to choose from, ranging from casual to fine dining. For families looking for flexibility, the Regal Eagle Smokehouse also offers same-day dining packages starting at $41 per adult, though these are extremely limited.

Tips for Families
  • Book early: Packages open October 14, and reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance.
  • Arrive ahead: Even with a dining package, seats are first-come, first-served within the reserved section. Arriving about 45 minutes before showtime helps you get the best view.
  • Standby strategy: If you don’t have a package, check how long the line is for the first show to gauge when you’ll need to line up for later ones.
  • Alternative option: Even if you can’t get a seat, the music carries beautifully outside the theater. Grab a treat from the nearby festival booths and enjoy the sounds of the season together.

Is a Dining Package Worth It?
For many families, yes. Think of it as an investment in peace of mind. Instead of spending hours in line and potentially missing other holiday fun, you can relax knowing your spot is secure. It’s one of the best ways to make the most of your precious vacation time.

When you think of the holidays, you probably imagine chilly weather, cozy sweaters, and maybe even snow. But what if you could trade that winter routine for sunshine, palm trees wrapped in twinkling lights, and laughter echoing through theme parks?
That’s the kind of holiday magic waiting for your family at Universal Orlando Resort. From larger-than-life parades to heartwarming moments with the Grinch, Universal turns the season into an adventure your kids will never forget.

🎈Universal’s Holiday Parade Featuring Macy’s
One of the season’s biggest highlights is the Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s. Imagine giant balloons towering overhead, dazzling floats covered in lights, and your favorite characters dancing through the streets. The best part? Watching your kids’ faces light up as Santa waves to them. It’s the kind of holiday moment that instantly becomes a tradition.

💚Grinchmas in Seuss Landing
If your kids love silliness, Grinchmas is where the fun begins. From the live “Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular” show to meeting the Grinch himself, the holiday spirit here is playful, quirky, and unforgettable. Your family will leave with stories you’ll retell every December.

🍪Festive Treats and Holiday Dining
The holidays wouldn’t be complete without seasonal flavors, and Universal goes all out. You’ll find:
  • Grinch-inspired green sugar cookies
  • Peppermint milkshakes
  • Hot cocoa with festive toppings
  • Holiday-inspired meals at select dining spots
Every bite becomes part of your holiday adventure, whether it’s a quick snack between rides or a hearty meal shared together.

Few places feel more magical during the holidays than Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley. Picture sipping warm Butterbeer under glowing garlands, snow-covered rooftops sparkling in the Florida sun, and carols performed by the Frog Choir filling the air. It’s like stepping into the stories you’ve always loved, this time with your children by your side.

🌟Holiday Atmosphere Everywhere You Go
Every corner of Universal Orlando feels alive with seasonal joy. Characters greet guests in holiday outfits, music drifts through the parks, and even the thrill rides feel extra magical surrounded by festive décor. From laughter shared on a roller coaster to quiet moments under twinkling lights, it’s a holiday experience that brings generations together.

🎁The Gift of Time Together
The most magical part of a Universal holiday isn’t just the shows or the treats, it’s the chance to press pause on the holiday rush. No frantic shopping, no endless rushing from event to event. Instead, you get something far more valuable: connection, joy, and memories your kids will always hold close.
Years from now, they’ll look back and say, “Remember when we spent Christmas at Universal?”

Why Fall Break Might Be the Perfect Time for a Disney Vacation

8/7/2025

We all picture those moments — the ones where everyone is happy, no one’s stressing, and your family actually feels present together. No phones, no sports schedules, no work emails. Just time to be with the people you love most.
But too often, that kind of time gets pushed aside by real life. Schedules get busy, seasons pass, and suddenly another year has gone by.

Throwback to when my daughter was 7, ready for a spooktacular night at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. Family pirate costumes, candy, and memories we still talk about years later — proof that the magic lasts long after the trip is over.
It Doesn’t Have to Be “Perfect” to Be Worth It
On my most recent visit to Walt Disney World, I was reminded of something I’ve seen again and again. Families often spend too much time waiting for the “perfect” time to travel.

The truth? It’s never the wrong time to take a break, reconnect, and enjoy your kids before they’re too grown up.

The families who get the most out of their trip are the ones who plan ahead so they don’t get overwhelmed. My clients trust me to take care of the planning and logistics so they can concentrate on what really matters — truly enjoying time with their children.

What Makes Fall So Special at Walt Disney World?
Fall Break provides the perfect window to step away from routines and be fully present together — and there’s something extra special about being at Disney during this season.

Magic Kingdom takes on an autumn glow, with pumpkins, garlands, scarecrows, and charming window displays lining Main Street, U.S.A. Families visiting this year can also experience the brand-new nighttime parade, Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away, which runs twice each evening. And for an extra dose of magic, families can trick-or-treat Disney style at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party.

Sweet Treats, Popcorn Buckets, and Fall Fun
Fall is one of the most creative seasons for Disney snacks and souvenirs. You might try:
  • Cookies and cream beignets with marshmallow crème drizzle at Scat Cat’s Club
  • A churro donut topped with peanut butter candy at Sunshine Churros
  • A Frankenstein cake slice from Gideon’s Bakehouse with chocolate ganache and M&M’s
And for Disney collectors, limited-edition popcorn buckets and sippers are everywhere — including designs featuring Mickey as a ghost, Stitch as a mummy, and Pluto as a skeleton.

Don’t Skip EPCOT During Fall Break
At EPCOT, the Food & Wine Festival is in full swing, offering global flavors in shareable portions that make exploring together easy and fun. The Eat to the Beat concert series returns with new performers this year, including The Beach Boys, Jordin Sparks, and Bowling for Soup. Festival merchandise includes housewares and apparel featuring Mickey, Remy, Figment, and Muppet Labs.
